This Refund Policy explains the terms and conditions for refunds related to Petit Tales subscription services. By subscribing to our service, you agree to this Refund Policy.

2. Merchant of Record

All payments for Petit Tales subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle is responsible for payment processing, tax calculation, and refund processing.

3. Subscription Plans

Petit Tales offers the following subscription plans:

  • Free: $0/month - 3 story chapters, 1 child profile
  • Basic: $6.99/month - Unlimited chapters, 1 child profile
  • Family: $12.99/month - Unlimited chapters, up to 4 child profiles

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through:

  • Your account settings within Petit Tales
  • Contacting Paddle directly
  • Contacting us at support@petittales.com

4.1 What Happens When You Cancel

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
  • You will continue to have access to all features until the subscription end date
  • After the subscription expires, your account will revert to the Free tier
  • Your child profiles and stories will remain accessible under Free tier limitations

5. Refund Policy

5.1 No Partial Refunds

No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.

When you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for the remaining days of your subscription.

5.2 Refund Requests

All refund requests must be directed to Paddle as the Merchant of Record. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis.

To request a refund:

  • Contact Paddle directly through your payment confirmation email or at paddle.net
  • Contact us at support@petittales.com and we will assist you in contacting Paddle

5.3 Refund Timeframe

Refund requests received within 60 days of the transaction date may be considered. Requests received after 60 days will generally not be processed.

5.4 Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:

  • Technical issues that prevented you from using the service
  • Duplicate charges or billing errors
  • Service significantly not as described

Refunds may be refused in cases of:

  • Evidence of fraud or refund abuse
  • Excessive refund requests
  • Violation of our Terms of Service

6. Free Tier

Petit Tales offers a free tier that allows you to try our service with 3 story chapters before committing to a paid subscription. We encourage you to use the free tier to evaluate whether our service meets your needs.

7. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us or Paddle directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks may result in suspension of your account and additional fees.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Refund Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
